STAO2009 – Spotlight on the New Curriculum
Inquiry to Innovation
.
The theme for this conference captures the intent to provide a conference featuring information and practical learning experiences that will enable teachers to confidently and competently implement the revised Science and Technology (Grades 1-8) and Science (Grades 9-12) curricula. As the sub-theme indicates, the renewed emphasis on the investigation skills of Scientific Inquiry and Technological Problem Solving will be addressed with a variety of hands-on, classroom ready activities and resources.
As with all STAO conferences, we will provide a comprehensive and balanced program with topics and issues related to all aspects of Science and Technology and Science education. Similarly, there will be an exceptional exhibitors section, featuring the latest and most helpful products and services related to providing high quality and innovative Science and Technology, and Science programs for the students we serve.
On behalf of all members of the Conference Planning Committee, and related committees, we invite you to join us for three days of invaluable and inspiring professional learning as we continue –
