This curriculum resource will assist teachers in delivering a high-quality senior science course to this often difficult-to-serve student clientele. “Survivor’s Guide” includes a course overview and detailed lesson plans for each of the five units. It addresses issues such as student safety, teaching-learning strategies, and assessment and evaluation. Each unit has been written by a specialist in that area. An important feature of “Survivor’s Guide” is the inclusion of practical classroom materials including ready-to-copy student worksheets.

• Micro-organisms
  • Lessons 1-8
  • Lessons 9-15
• The Immune System and Human Health
• Human Impact on the Environment
